Description
Although he hasn't regained a healthy appetite yet, Staff Sergeant Dan Breckenridge, back home in Fort Worth after eight months as a German prisoner, says he certainly doesn't have any trouble downing his "mom's eggnog." Mom is Mrs. Vontrice Breckenridge, she is making eggnog for her son. Breckenridge was an 8th United States Army Air Forces (AAF) B-17 gunner before he was captured by the Germans. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, evening edition, July 19, 1945.
