Description

Three friends, who happened to be visiting in Fort Worth, Texas, at the same time, had their first reunion recently since their enlistment over two years ago. Left to right, they are Coxswain A. J. Moore, Private First Class Jack Dye, and Clyde M. Joyce, Machinist's Mate Third Class. Coxswain Moore is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A D. Moore, after spending 15 months in the Caribbean on shore duty. Private Dye is on a 30-day furlough from McCloskey General Hospital where he has spent 19 months undergoing treatment for a bone infection. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. N. Dye. Machinist's Mate Joyce is spending a 30-day leave with is uncle, Garner Joyce. The three servicemen are standing against a wall, wearing their military uniforms.
