Description
The Brookside Flood Control Committee is requesting the county commissioners court build up the land surrounding the unimproved scenic park drive in Brookside Acres. The road runs along the side of the river at even ground, causing flooding. The committee contends that the improved scenic park drive on the east side of the river in Crestwood (shown here) is a levee. This additional build-up is forcing flood waters into Brookside.
