Among the veterans passing through Fort Worth, Jesus Castro, Technician Fifth Grade, Taylor, right, was not the least interesting of the 200 war veterans. A member of the famed Merrill's Marauders, he served in Burma, transporting supplies to Marauder units. Castro is standing next an unidentified veteran in front of a railroad car. The troop train carrying war veterans passed through Fort Worth Monday, June 25, bound for Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX.
