Miss Carlene Welch, of Portland, Maine, who is a guest of Miss Suzanne O'Brien, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. O'Brien. Miss O'Brien held open house in River Crest Country Club in honor of her guest, who is being complimented at a series of informal affairs. Miss Welch is wearing vertically striped dress and is standing in a garden. The pockets on the skirt of the dress have horizontal stripes.
