Description
Tioga soldier gets Bronze Star. Private First Class Vertie W. Ridinger, son of Mrs. A. P. Baughman, has been awarded the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service with the 1st Cavalry Division on Luzon Island of the Philippines. He also holds the Purple Heart for wounds received last February 24 on Luzon. Private Ridinger is shown dressed in his military uniform. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition June 27, 1945.
