Shown here is a copy of portrait of Captain (Capt.) James R. Lauderdale. In this picture he is dressed in uniform along with his awards. He has been awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC), Air Medal with four clusters and Distinguished Unit Badge for his services with a troop carrier group of the 12th Air Force in the Mediterranean theater. Pilot and squadron flight operations officer, Lauderdale is entitled to wear five campaign stars on his theater ribbon for the campaigns in Tunisia, Sicily, Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno and southern France. He is the son of J. R. Lauderdale. Mrs. Annie Marion Lauderdale is his wife. His family lives in San Antonio, Texas. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, June 26, 1945.
