Mrs. Elizabeth Simpson of Aledo, 87-year-old mother of Lieutenant General William Hood Simpson, who is awaiting a visit from her warrior son when he arrives home next week. She has been expecting it since she received a "be home soon" cable from him in Germany on his birthday. Mrs. Simpson is shown seated in a rocking chair. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition June 20, 1945.
