Description

Private First Class Monty Young is serving in the United States Marine Corp. After serving twenty-seven months with the 3rd Marine Division, he is spending his leave in Fort Worth, Texas. One year ago Private Young sent a letter to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram admitting that he was lonesome and badly in need of mail. A story calling for public support was published in the newspaper. As a result, Private Young received hundreds of letters from every state. He is shown standing against a wall, dressed in a military uniform.
