Description

Richard "Dickie" Delaine Janecki is the eighteen-month old son of Private First Class and Mrs. Richard A. Janecki. Dickie is shown sitting on a couch with the German flugelhorn sent home by his father. Private Janecki is stationed in Germany with the 94th Division Band. He bought the instrument, similar to a trumpet, for 750 Francs. Dickie is dressed in a collared shirt and overalls with a cartoon dog.
