Description
The Columbia Interscholastic Press Association and the National Tuberculosis Association are awarding the top high school papers for 1945. Three editors of Texas papers left to right, are Betty Ruth Shelby, Jo Ann Roark, and Martha Cockroft. Miss Shelby is the editor of the Paschal Parakeet. She is wearing a floral dress. Miss Roark is the editor of the Tech Bulldog. She is wearing a striped, button-up dress. Miss Cockroft is the editor of the North Side Lariat. She is wearing a collared blouse and a skirt. The Parakeet is winning their third award. In 1943 they were the only Texas school honored.
