Description
A mother and her ten-year old son were rescued from the West Fork of the Trinity River Sunday Morning. The rescuers, left to right, are Mrs. W. M. Gentzke, Private Ollie F. Bracken, and Sergeant Lester Murphy. Mrs. Gentzke is wearing a dark, button-up dress. Private Bracken, of the Women's Army Corps (WAC), and Sergeant Murphy are both stationed at the Fort Worth Army Air Field. Sergeant Murphy is pointing to where they found Mrs. S. A. Connell and John Charles Connell.
