Poppy Day is being held in Fort Worth, Texas to signal the start of the American Legion poppy sale at the Quartermaster Depot. Pictured left to right, are Colonel H. W. Peck, Mrs. M. V. Galbreath, Colonel W. L. Bartley, and Frank Lanham. Colonel Peck is the retired commander of the 6th Cavalry Regiment in Texas in World War I. He is dressed in a double breasted suit. Mrs. Galbreath, was "sweetheart" of soldiers stationed in Fort Worth during World War I. She is wearing a hat and a floral dress. Colonel Bartley is commander of the depot. He is dressed in his military uniform. Mr. Lanham is with the Bothwell Kane Post of the American Legion. He is wearing a hat and a double breasted suit.
