Lieutenant Colonel J. R. Guthrie is home in Fort Worth, Texas on a twenty-one day leave. He is visiting his wife and son, Joe Healy. Colonel Guthrie spent twenty-one months overseas with the Army Air Force and was in charge of a team installing communication systems for the Air Force stations in the China Burma India (CBI) Theater. Colonel Guthrie is a veteran of twenty-two years, seventeen as an enlisted man. At the end of his leave he will report to Asheville, North Carolina for reassignment. He is shown standing against a wall, dressed in his military uniform.
