Sergeant Carl D. Mize is serving with the United States Army in the 7th Division Infantry. He has been awarded the Purple Heart for wounds suffered during action on Okinawa on April 17, 1945. Sergeant Mize is a native of Coleman, Texas. His wife is the former Miss Mary Margaret Price. They have a three-year old son. Sergeant Mize is shown in his official military photograph, dressed in his uniform.
