John Nunley Junior, Boatswain's Mate Second Class, has served 31 months in the Pacific. He enlisted in the Navy on his 17th birthday. He is pictured in his official Navy photograph, wearing his military uniform. Mr. Nunley took part in the invasions of both Iwo Jima and Okinawa.
