The younger brothers and sister of the fighting Knights (Sergeant Knight, and First Lieutenant Jack Llewellyn Knight) read with solemn faces the dispatch shown to them at the Millsap Public School by a Star-Telegram reporter telling of the posthumously award given to their oldest brother. The younger siblings shown are, left to right, Bill, eleven, June, eight, and Roy A Knight Junior, fourteen. They are in a classroom. Two brothers are standing next to their sister. June is sitting at the desk and holding a document. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, May 12, 1945.
