Description
Mr. Roy A. Knight, the father of First Lieutenant Jack Llewellyn Knight, received news of his son's award the Congressional Medal of Honor posthumously for leading a victorious attack in Burma against Japanese pillboxes. Friday he received news of the award with the statement his son "was a true American". Mr. Knight is shown standing outside next to a car, wearing a button-down shirt tucked inside his trousers and a hat. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, May 12, 1945.
