Four Blue Stars ... One Gold -- Mrs. Roy A. Knight, is shown in her farmhouse living room adjusting four blue service stars for sons in service and the gold star for her oldest boy, First Lieutenant Jack Llewellyn Knight, who has been awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor posthumously for leading a victorious attack in Burma against Japanese pillboxes and directing the assault after being partially blinded by mortal wounds. Mrs. Knight is hanging both blue and gold stars on the wall. She is wearing a printed dress, touching the stars and posing for the camera. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, May 12, 1945.
