Description
Three way event for him. Triple significance was attached to Tuesday for Theo Gene Ledel as he scanned headlines on the final victory in Europe. In addition to being V-E Day, it was also his 18th birthday and the date for his Selective Service registration. The young man is shown sitting on a sofa and holding a copy of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram with the headline, "Truman, Churchill Hail Final Victory in Europe." Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition May 11, 1945.
