Description
Eddie Moore, former star outfielder for the Fort Worth Baseball Club, and Mrs. Moore are rescued from their flooded home at 3324 Hanger Avenue in the Poly neighborhood of Fort Worth. Wading across Hanger Avenue are (left to right) Law Sone, president of Texas Wesleyan College, Mrs. Moore, Mr. Moore, Ray Ward and two unidentified young men. Everyone is wearing coats and hats and are wading in water several inches deep. This photograph was published in the June 10, 1940 morning edition of the Star-Telegram.
