Proud of Brother's Medal. James O. Painter, technician fourth grade, home in Joshua after being liberated from Stalag 3-C, shares his parents' pride in the Air Medal awarded his brother, Flight Officer Stephen Painter Jr., who's now in a hospital in Belgium recuperating from wounds received in action March 24. Shown in photograph left to right are Stephen Painter, Sr., James Painter and Mrs. Stephen Painter, Sr. All are sitting on a front porch steps looking at a medal that James Painter is holding in his hands.
