Description
Clothes for War Victims. Fort Worth's generous response to the plea to aid ill-clad millions in liberated nations of the world is shown in scenes made during the citywide pickup staged in connection with the United National Clothing Collection for Overseas Relief. William Holden, left, of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, helps stack the clothing donated by the "dead" parcel post branch of the post office as Preston Hodges, lifting boxes of clothing, gives him a hand. Published Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition April 16, 1945.
