Gene (Chicken) Roberts, Masonic Home hurdle star, set a new mark in the 200-yard low hurdles of the City Track and Field Meet at Farrington Field when he clocked at 23.5, four-tenths of a second better than the old mark. He is wearing a t-shirt. Half-length portrait. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition, April 14, 1945.
