Description
The two top winners in the Future Farmers of America club calf show and action sale at Arlington, Texas, were King Fish, 915-pound grand champion Hereford, owned and shown by Billy Hughes, left, and a club calf, a 810-pound reserve champion, fed and shown by Mike Thompson, right. Surrounded by other calves, with hay beneath their feet, these young teens are posing with their winning animals. Both are wearing long sleeve shirts, and trousers with waist belts. Billy has his sleeves rolled up to his elbows. They each are holding a rope that is attached to the head halter of their calf. Behind them are onlookers leaning against a horizontal, three-slatted, fence.
