Description
Portrait of First Lieutenant William M. Shamburger, 24, in uniform. He is visiting his wife and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Shamburger before reporting to a port of embarkation on the East Coast. Shamburger left February 6 to enter the chaplain's school at Fort Devens, Massachusetts. He formerly was a student at the Baptist Seminary and pastor of the First Baptist Church of Euless. He also was graduated from Polytechnic High School and Baylor University. His wife, the former Miss Kathryn Nutt, returns to her home in Stephenville. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, April 7, 1945.
