Description

Shots of a wrecked Rock Island train in which Richard Ball, front brakeman, was killed. Evidently he had attempted to jump from the passage-way from the tender to the engine Tuesday when this Rock Island freight train derailed and pinned him between the two cars. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, April 4, 1945.
