Description
Mr. and Mrs. Allen Peterson are helping to fill the days until the return of their son, Howard Peterson, aviation machinist's mate second class, from his base in the Hawaiians, by watching the growth of a collection of his handicraft sent to them from the islands. Their son has been in the Navy since June 1942. In this picture, Mrs. Peterson is holding up a handmade bath mat in a tufted work similar to chenille and monogrammed with the letter P, one of the items in the collection. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, April 8, 1945.
