    Description

    At the dedication of the bronze memorial tablet placed on Anna Shelton Hall, the Woman's Club, in honor of the first president of the club, the late Anna Shelton. Standing in front of the tablet, left to right, are Mrs. J. E. McCarthy, niece of Miss Shelton, Reverend Mathew Arnold of Cleburne, Texas, who made the brief dedicatory address, Miss Edna Pendleton, another niece of Miss Shelton, and Mrs. A. W. Terrell, president of the Woman's Club. The tablet reads, "Anna Shelton Hall Named In Honor Of Anna Shelton First President Of The Woman's Club." Mrs. McCarthy is wearing a dark-colored dress belted at the waist, a necklace and a hat. Reverend Arnold is wearing a suit, necktie and eyeglasses. Miss Pendleton is wearing a checkered dress with buttons down the bodice and a belt at the waist, and a hat. She is holding a purse under her arm. Mrs. Terrell is wearing a dark dress with a crochet detailed collar and a hat with a large bow on top.
