The money for the bond was a gift from Jean's father, a Navy lieutenant stationed at Coronado, California. 22 month old Jean Duncan eagerly reaches for the war bond that Mrs. King is holding in her right hand. Jean is wearing a bonnet on her head. Mrs. Duncan is also wearing a hat.
