'The Heat Wave', an oil painting by Coreen Mary Spellman, is pictured here. In this picture a woman is seated in a chair, wearing summer clothes and holding a hand fan. On the floor there are electric fan, magazine, empty bottle and beverage glass with straw. Her left foot is bare. This artists received the greatest number of gallery-visitor votes and won the $25 popular vote prize in the recently-closed annual West Texas Art Show.
