I. W. Moore is shown holding a vaulting pole on the track field. He is a Naval Aviation Cadet of Kingsville North American Aircraft Services (NAAS). He set an all-time all-meet pole vault record Saturday and soared thirteen feet, seven and half inches in the Victory Division finals of the Fat Stock Show track and field meet. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition March 18, 1945.
