Description
Robert Rohleder-- they call him the Bing Crosby of the Western Union messenger force--had reason to sing out Thursday, for the birthday greetings he was assigned to warble were addressed to the City of Fort Worth on her ninety-first anniversary. Robert, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. T. Rohleder, is standing beside his modern motor-bike at a downtown intersection. He learned to sing as a member of the school choir at St. Ignatius Academy. Rohlender is wearing a short sleeve button up shirt, trousers, belt, Western Union hat and shin guards with lace up dark shoes. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram Evening Edition June 06, 1940.
