Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show beauty contestant Mrs. Mildred Laurence of Gainesville, Texas was on hand for the rehearsal of the Earl Carroll Vanities in Will Rogers Memorial Auditorium. She is a graduate of Polytechnic High School in Fort Worth, Texas. When she was sixteen she won an MGM search-for-talent screen test. She is married to Aubrey Laurence, Aviation Cadet Training pilot who is overseas in India. Mrs. Laurence is wearing a dress with polka dot sleeves.
