    Description

    Photographic portrait of Second Lieutenant Harold E. McComb in uniform. Mr. and Mrs. Woodson B. McComb, 2945 Merida received the missing news of their son 23-year-old Second Lieutenant Harold E. McComb. He was a B-17 co-pilot, won his wings at Pecos AAF a year ago and went to England last November. He wears the Air Medal. He is a native of Fort Worth and attended Paschal High School, but graduated from high school in Earlsboro, Oklahoma. He attended Texas Christian University (TCU) and was employed at Montgomery Ward & Co. He entered service in February 1943. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, February 28, 1945.
