Description
Shots of the wrecked and derailed cars in the rail company's yards, Fort Worth, Texas. Wednesday a Texas & Pacific passenger train on the main line struck some derailed freight cars in the company's yards west of Fort Worth. A line of freight cars, which was being pushed on a parallel track, buckled and some of the cars fell across the main line directly in the path of locomotive. Locomotive Engineer J. B. Price, 62 of 1013 E. Richmond, and fireman F. D. Wiley, 35 of 2314 Lee were hurt in this accident. The locomotive keeled over on its side, but Mr. Wiley climbed out and then pulled Mr. Price to safety. The 14 passenger cars were not derailed. The passenger train was en route to Baird.
