Shown here is Mrs. Jewel E. Tennison, reading a letter from her husband. Her husband Private First Class (Pfc.) William Tennison is officially listed by the War Department as missing in action in France. According to the letter he is a prisoner of war in Germany. The letter dated December 13, one month after their first wedding anniversary. In the letter Private Tennison wished Merry Christmas to his wife and hoped to be home soon. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Tennisson and a graduate of Diamond Hill High School. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 19, 1945.
