Private First Class A. Perry, of Lubbock, Texas, was awarded Bronze Star for his actions with the Americal Division on Bougainville in the Solomons. Private Perry was also the recipient of the Purple Heart, for wounds he received last March. He is pictured wearing his military uniform.
