    Miss Juanita Winnett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Winnett, is marrying Private First Class (Pfc.) Ray B. Mathis, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Mathis, at his family's home on Friday, February 2, 1945. Reverend R. E. Bass performed the ceremony. The bride is wearing a winter white two-piece wool dress trimmed with gold sequins. She paired the dress with black accessories and a carnation corsage. Private Mathis is dressed in his military uniform. He is a solider in the United States Marine Corps. He is stationed in Corpus Christi, Texas at a U. S. Naval Hospital. He served twenty-two months in the South Pacific and wears a Purple Heart and two battle stars. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, February 6, 1945.
