Description

The Safety Council is receiving a safety charter award from the Mayor of Fort Worth, Texas. Pictured left to right, are E. H. Leiendecker, A. F. Townsend, and Mayor I. N. McCrary. Mr. Leiendecker, president of the organization, is accepting the charter. He is dressed in a double breasted, tweed suit and tie. Mr. Townsend, director and one of the council founders is dressed in a three-piece suit with a bow tie. Mayor McCrary is dressed in a dark, three-piece suit and tie. He is smoking a cigar. Mr. Leiendecker and Mr. Townsend are having eyeglasses on. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 4, 1945.
