FDD's Birthday Is On January 30 Same as FDR's -- Franklin Delano Deckich, 11-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Deckich, celebrated his 11th birthday Tuesday. He is shown standing, smiling, wearing a suit and holding a piece of paper. Franklin shares his birthday and name with the President of the United States, Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Franklin Deckich was born at 12:01 a.m. on January 30, 1934, the first baby to be born on that date in Fort Worth, Texas, and the hospital attendants named him after the President. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, January 31, 1945.
