Description
Corporal (Corp.) Charles W. Moseley, of DeLeon, Texas, is being awarded the Purple Heart. He received the medal for wounds he received in combat on Biak Island, Indonesia, June 10, 1944. He has been serving overseas since January 1942 as a member of a construction engineer battalion. While serving in New Guinea, he participated in a trial to aid the Army Medical Corps test a new malarial vaccine. In this copy of his portrait he is shown in his official uniform. He is the son of Mrs. Ludie Moseley. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, February 4, 1945.
