Description
Ensign Raymond H. Greene standing in front of a wall. Greene is wearing a United States Navy officer service dress uniform. He is in town visiting his parents Mr. and Mrs. Cullium E. Greene. He arrived home Saturday from Midshipman's School at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. He received his commission last Wednesday, finishing 26th in a class of 200. Greene entered the V-123 training program at Texas Christian University in 1943 and was sent to Pre-Midshipman's School at Asbury Park, New Jersey, before going to Cornell in September 1944. He is a graduate of Paschal high School and a former Star-Telegram carrier-salesman. He won the Amon Carter Junior scholarship to Texas Christian University in 1942. Greene will leave Monday for Cambridge, Massachusetts to attend communications school at Harvard University. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, January 29, 1945.
