Jean Flint and Marvin Taylor of William James Junior High School are American Legion Scholarship Award winners. The students were receiving the honors because they possess high standards of character, honor, courage, scholarship, leadership and service which is necessary for the preservation of our government and the advancement of society. Miss Flint is wearing an overcoat, blouse and necklace, and Mr. Taylor is wearing a plaid shirt and coat. They are standing next to each other and posing for a picture.
