Description
Dick Brame, 23, pharmacist mate first class, standing against a bare wall and wearing his military uniform. Mr. Brame made every major invasion with the First Marine Division during the nearly three years he spent in the South Pacific. He holds the Purple Heart with cluster. He also holds the Presidential Unit Citation with star awarded the First Marine Division for action at Guadalcanal and Saipan. He was a junior at University of California, Los Angeles where he was majoring in engineering and playing football. He is the son of R. A. Brame. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition, January 17, 1945.
