Boxers throughout the city are training for the upcoming Golden Gloves District Tournament in Fort Worth, Texas. Signing his entry form is James Allcock. He will compete in the lightweight class for Globe Aircraft. Allcock went to the finals in the 1944 district meet. He is shown sitting on a bench at the gymnasium. He is wearing warm-up pants and has his hands taped.
