Description
Left to right, Marine 2nd Lieutenant Billy Meneff and 1st Lieutenant Gayle Nance. Friends since the age of ten, they are home for the first time in four years. They graduated from Paschal High School. Menefee then attended and graduated from Texas A&M. He is preparing to go overseas. Nance returned from Italy after fifty-one missions as a B-17 pilot. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for going on one of the first pathfinder missions to Vienna. The men are standing shoulder to shoulder dressed in their military uniforms.
