Ensign E. C. Kirkpatrick is a 23-year-old skipper of a landing craft tank. He made five trips to the Normandy beachhead on D-Day to unload supplies to the men fighting in the invasion. Ensign Kirkpatrick is home in Fort Worth, Texas, visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kirkpatrick, after a year overseas. Ensign Kirkpatrick is a graduate of Paschal High School and Texas Christian University. He is standing in front of a door, wearing his Navy uniform.
