Description
Captain John A. Steel, who served 21 months overseas, is in Fort Worth, Texas, to visit his parents. The wounded veteran served with the 36th Division in Italy and the 7th Army in France. He was wounded in the chest during the fighting at Velletri, Italy. Captain Steel holds the Bronze Star Medal for bravery and the Purple Heart. He graduated from the University of Texas. He is standing against a wall, dressed in his military uniform.
