Description
J. P. Chenault celebrated his 94th birthday and recounted some of the trying times he lived through. Mr. Chenault was born in St. Clair County, Alabama, in 1850. He was a youngster when the Civil War swept through his hometown. He is a member of the Baptist Church and was justice of the peace in Houston, Mississippi, for 28 years. He has six living children, 14 grandchildren and four great-grand children. Mr. Chenault is currently living with his daughter, Mrs. S. T. De Armond. He is standing against a door, wearing a three piece pinstripe suit.
